Coral Poker uses the same software as pokerroom.com, one of the giants of the industry. As such the graphics and reliability of this site are superb, and Coral’s player base is pooled with that of pokerroom.com and other rooms on the OnGame network, meaning there are always plenty of games to choose from. Graphics

Excellent. Coral’s graphics are some of the best on the web. with rich colours and classy design. The table graphic features distinctive avatars (player figures) which together with the angled view help to make the table appear as it does on the TV.

Playability

Table
Very good. OnGame’s software is very good and reliable. which is no surprise as it powers one of the biggest online poker rooms in the world (pokerroom.com). There are some complaints. such as that the play buttons could be a bit bigger and further spaced out. and that the timeouts are too quick. but overall the software is popular and has some terrific features.

For example: in tournament play when two or more players are all-in the win percentage is displayed for each player. changing visibly as the flop. turn and river are dealt. Another popular feature on Coral is the option of using ‘hot keys’ – the ‘hot keys’ are F1. F2. F3 and F4 on your keyboard. which can be used to fold. check. call. or bet (the minimum) – great if you play multiple tables or like to play poker while you do other things.

The player notes system is also very well designed. allowing you to designate different symbols to different players so you can recognise immediately what sort of player they are.

Lobby
The lobby on Coral is very good; it is clearly laid out with separate tabs for different game types. making searching for games easy. The only complaint is that although average pot. hands per hour. and players per flop stats are displayed for each table. you must click on the individual table to see these figures (a little advice. the easiest way to search is by clicking on a table and then using the up down cursor keys). Coral also has some of the most extensive game play stats of all the online poker rooms. presented both as a session summary and a total summary for your play. Not only are you given general figures for hands won/lost. but you can also see stats for specific tables and times. along with stats such as “win/loss per hour”. “average big bets per hand”. and percentages such as “folded to river bet”.

Player Numbers

Ring
The OnGame network has some of the highest player numbers around. Traffic often peaks at over 1500 for real money ring players.

Tournament
Likewise in tournaments. Coral users will have plenty to choose from and you never have to wait long for a table to fill up.

Game Variety

With Texas Hold’em. Omaha Hi. Omaha Hi/Lo. Five Card Draw. Seven Card Stud. Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo and head-to-head tables. Coral’s game variety is slightly above average. Unlike some sites however. the non-Texas Hold’em games are actually very busy. meaning this is a good place to go if those are games you like to play.

Rake

Coral’s rake is the industry average – 5 percent up to a maximum of $3.

Special Tournaments

Coral runs an $80.000 guaranteed pot tournament (GPT) every Sunday. a $50.000 GPT every Saturday. a $40.000 GPT every Friday. and a $20.000 every day!

Promotions / Bonuses

Sign-up
