Graphics

Mansion Poker’s graphics are excellent. The colours are rich and clean and the table image is clear and uncluttered. There are no avatars. but player names are prominent and the table design is good enough to get by without avatars.

Playability

Table
Playability is probably Mansion’s strongest suit. The numerous consultations have obviously paid off and the site has some very nice touches to show for it. For example Mansion has unique software allowing you to rotate the poker table (or rather the seat positions at the table). This is very useful for people who play multiple tables as it enables players to choose what geographical position on the table they want to occupy (top right. bottom left etc) regardless of where the open seat is. This is just one of many great design ideas.

Lobby
Again Mansion has done its homework and come up with a clever design. The best feature is the table filter. which enables you to search for games based on table size. currency and game type. Otherwise the lobby is clearly laid out and easy to use.

Player Numbers

Ring
As Mansion is one of the newest sites on the Internet and uses its own stand-alone software (rather than being part of a network) it currently has fairly low traffic. However this won’t last for long: Mansion is marketing its site with a zeal that even PartyPoker cannot match. spending millions of dollars on sponsorship deals across the globe (they are the official sponsors of the Poker Dome and have signed a £34 million [$55 million] deal with England’s Tottenham Hotspur FC).

Tournament
For the reasons mentioned above. the player numbers are relatively low but it is expected that the numbers will increase dramatically over the coming months.

Game Variety

Hold’em. Omaha. Seven Card Stud and Five Card Draw. Most traffic is concentrated on Hold’em.

Rake

Industry standard: 5% with a $3 maximum.

Special Tournaments

Mansion run numerous freerolls and tournament for qualification into the Mansion Poker Dome. a series of live tournaments held in the specially designed Poker Dome – the newest. most up to date innovation for televised poker – with a first prize of $1 million.
