Steve Wong captures Five Diamond Event #3 as Roland de Wolfe picks up second place in Event #4
The preliminary events in the Five Diamond World Poker Classic are proving fertile hunting ground for the world’s best poker players. Already Dave “the Devilfish” Ulliot has gobbled up a WPC bracelet for winning the $2000 tournament, and now two other pros have logged big finishes in the most recent events.  Read more..

Bond villain proves his poker credentials
The latest (and some say best) James Bond film was released recently in the UK to general acclaim, and featured a huge dose of No Limit Texas Hold’em. The critics opinion of the poker scene in Bond was that despite the ridiculously improbably hands, the acting was superb. Well now we know why.  Read more..

We’ve now passed the half-way line in this year’s WSOP and some of the most exciting events are almost upon us, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, and tomorrow’s much anticipated $5,000 Heads-UP NL Hold’em Championship.

With 26 events accounted for the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have dwindled slightly down from the record breaking Event #3 the Rio is still buzzing, and a number of events have topped the 1,500 mark since.
