Prison for Lehigh Bank Robber
A university student from Lehigh in Pennsylvania who robbed a bank in December 2005 to help pay off online gambling debts has been sentenced to ten years in prison. Gregory Horan Jnr. committed the robbery while two fraternity brothers waited in a car outside, oblivious to his actions.

Bluff in the Buff – World record strip poker tournament
The largest strip poker tournament in history came to a conclusion over the weekend with a victory for John Young from Slough. With just a towel to cover his modesty John celebrated the win and pledged the money to charity.

WSOP Champion signs with Bodog
It may come as no surprise, but its still big news: Jamie Gold, the richest tournament player in history (albeit from his WSOP win alone) has penned a deal with Bodog, the online poker room that bought him in to the WSOP championship event.

“High Stakes Poker” to film third season: Jamie Gold invited
If you haven’t yet managed to catch GSN’s High Stakes Poker then allow me to inform you that you are missing out on quite possibly the greatest poker show ever made. Now I feel I should add that I’m not prone to making those sorts of sweeping statements, but in the case of High Stakes Poker (HSP) I’m prepared to make an exception.

Jeff Madsen: WSOP Wunderkind
Of all the amazing stories to come out of this year’s World Series the only one which can stand toe-to-toe with Jamie Gold’s main event win is the one scripted by Jeff Madsen, the youngest ever winner of a WSOP bracelet and the 2006 World Series of Poker Player of the Year.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We’ve now passed the half-way line in this year’s WSOP and some of the most exciting events are almost upon us, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, and tomorrow’s much anticipated $5,000 Heads-UP NL Hold’em Championship.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events accounted for the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have dwindled slightly down from the record breaking Event #3 the Rio is still buzzing, and a number of events have topped the 1,500 mark since.

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, with almost three events finishing every day now, and as we get further into proceedings the pro players seem to be making the final tables with regularity.
