WPT North American Championship: Turkewitsch wins $1.3 million
The first World Poker Tour event to be held in Canada drew a huge field, a dense collection of poker stars, and a vast crowd of dedicated fans. In total 497 players paid up for a shot at the $4.8 million prize pool, and when just six were left the final table was a near perfect mix: one poker superstar and five hopeful Canadians.

Roll on the Wolf: Roland wins the Dublin EPT
What a year and a half it’s been for Roland De Wolfe. Back in July of 2005 Roland stormed on to the poker radar by winning the WPT Grand Prix De Paris. Then in April of this year Roland thundered onto the final table of the $25,000 WPT Championship, ending up in third place for $1 million. And now, in the last EPT event of 2006, Roland has picked up another win, in the Irish Masters, pocketing $696,970.

Registration for the Asian Poker Tour ends this Sunday
There's only a few more days to register for the Betfair Asian Poker Tour which starts in Singapore on November 12th.

WPT North American Poker Championship kicks off over Niagara Falls
Last week saw the Festa al Lago tournament, the newest addition to the World Poker Tour, take place from the familiar surroundings of the Bellagio’s poker room in Las Vegas. Though impressive, it has to be said that the Bellagio pales in comparison to spectacular location of the latest stop on the World Poker Tour: Fallsview, overlooking the Niagara Falls.

Yet another record broken on PokerStars
No-one can quite be sure what the future holds for PokerStars.com, but if it in any way resembles the bounty of the last few weeks they really ought to start shopping for Senator Bill Frist’s Christmas present.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We’ve now passed the half-way line in this year’s WSOP and some of the most exciting events are almost upon us, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, and tomorrow’s much anticipated $5,000 Heads-UP NL Hold’em Championship.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events accounted for the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have dwindled slightly down from the record breaking Event #3 the Rio is still buzzing, and a number of events have topped the 1,500 mark since.

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, with almost three events finishing every day now, and as we get further into proceedings the pro players seem to be making the final tables with regularity.
