Hennigan wins WPT Borgata Open
After the agonizing four hours and forty minutes it took for the first player to be purged from the final table of the WPT World Poker Open in Tunica last week it was no doubt a relief to fans and players alike that it took no more than 15 minutes for the first player to hit the rail at last night’s WPT Borgata final table.

WPT Borgata Classic: John Gale makes final table
World Poker Tour events have been coming thick and fast at the end of this month, and just five days after Bryan Sumner won the World Poker Open in Tunica we are already looking forward to a final table from the WPT Borgata.

WPT Tunica – Negreanu just misses out on third WPT title
The WPT World Poker Open at Tunica concluded last weekend, and though the final table was not as exciting as some might have hoped, it was the scene of a number of broken records.

Bodog drops Jamie Gold sponsorship
Jamie Gold, the 2006 WSOP main-event champion, has been dropped by Bodog just six months after winning the biggest poker tournament in history, it was revealed yesterday.

Negreanu makes seventh WPT final table
The World Poker Open in Tunica attracted a smaller field than most recent World Poker Tour events, with just 294 players paying the $10,000 buy-in, less than a third of the field that competed in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure earlier in January.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We’ve now passed the half-way line in this year’s WSOP and some of the most exciting events are almost upon us, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, and tomorrow’s much anticipated $5,000 Heads-UP NL Hold’em Championship.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events accounted for the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have dwindled slightly down from the record breaking Event #3 the Rio is still buzzing, and a number of events have topped the 1,500 mark since.

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, with almost three events finishing every day now, and as we get further into proceedings the pro players seem to be making the final tables with regularity.
