Paul Wasicka leads WPT LA Poker Classic
As Day Three of the WPT LA Poker Classic begins to wind down there is a familiar face at the head of the leaderboard. Paul Wasicka, runner-up to Jamie Gold in the 2006 WSOP main-event has shot up through the field, building his stack from $160,000 to roughly $900,000 to take the lead with just over 50 players remaining.

Biggest Ever WPT event kicks off in LA
Its official; the poker boom is alive and well, and stronger than ever. Despite (or maybe because of?) the anti-gambling bill (the UIGEA) and the troubles with third-party online payment processors, people are still turning out in force to play in live tournaments.

Peter Feldman wins second WSOPC ring
Peter Feldman became only player besides Chris “Jesus” Ferguson to own two World Series of Poker Circuit rings yesterday when he took down the WSOPC event in Harrah’s Rincon casino in San Diego.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We’ve now passed the half-way line in this year’s WSOP and some of the most exciting events are almost upon us, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, and tomorrow’s much anticipated $5,000 Heads-UP NL Hold’em Championship.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events accounted for the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have dwindled slightly down from the record breaking Event #3 the Rio is still buzzing, and a number of events have topped the 1,500 mark since.

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, with almost three events finishing every day now, and as we get further into proceedings the pro players seem to be making the final tables with regularity.
