WPT LA Poker Classic: JC Tran falls at final hurdle
It so nearly had the improbably Hollywood ending we were all rooting for. But unfortunately for JC Tran when all was said and done the LA Poker Classic more closely resembled a Shakespearean tragedy.  Read more..

WPT LA Poker Classic: Tran heads all-star final table
JC Tran’squest for redemption is still on. Last year’s fifth place finisher, eliminated after the cruellest of beats (see yesterday’s news article), has made his second WPT final table in a row, and arrives at tomorrow’s final table as the chip leader, just as he did last year. This time Tran will be hoping Lady Luck treats him a little more kindly.  Read more..

We’ve now passed the half-way line in this year’s WSOP and some of the most exciting events are almost upon us, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, and tomorrow’s much anticipated $5,000 Heads-UP NL Hold’em Championship.

With 26 events accounted for the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have dwindled slightly down from the record breaking Event #3 the Rio is still buzzing, and a number of events have topped the 1,500 mark since.
