WPT World Championship: El Matador makes history with extraordinary comeback
Four days ago Phil Hellmuth ended Day Three of the WPT Championship as chip leader for the second day running. If you whispered then that a former WSOP champion was destined to win the WPT title, but added that it wouldn’t be him, one can only imagine the carnage that might have followed.

WPT Championship Day 5: Hellmuth falls as Lee powers forward
Another World Poker Tour tournament, and another missed opportunity for Phil Hellmuth; the ten-time WSOP bracelet winner busted out in 18th place and will have to wait another day for an opportunity to win the WPT title he so covets.

WPT World Championship Day 4: Hellmuth takes hit but survives
There is only way to go when you’re at the top so they say, and much to his chagrin Phil Hellmuth discovered the truth of this saying yesterday on Day 4 of the biggest poker tournament of the year.

With 425 players gone, a poker brat leading the pack and the first pay checks looming near, Day 3 of the WPT World Championship marked the business end of the world’s biggest non-WSOP poker tournament.

World Poker Tour Championship: Roland De Wolfe storms into Day Three chip lead
479 players began Day Two of the WPT World Championship yesterday; less than 120 finished. And everyone who took the felt at the beginning of the day knew that this was the time to make or break their chances of winning the record breaking $3.9 million first prize.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We’ve now passed the half-way line in this year’s WSOP and some of the most exciting events are almost upon us, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, and tomorrow’s much anticipated $5,000 Heads-UP NL Hold’em Championship.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events accounted for the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have dwindled slightly down from the record breaking Event #3 the Rio is still buzzing, and a number of events have topped the 1,500 mark since.

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, with almost three events finishing every day now, and as we get further into proceedings the pro players seem to be making the final tables with regularity.
