Week Two of the world’s biggest online poker tournament wrapped up last Saturday when a monstrous 4600 players assembled at PartyPoker’s virtual felt to take a shot at the $100,000 prizepool. It didn’t take long for the Legends of Poker final table to kick into gear. After his excruciating (and crippling) bad beat at the end of yesterday’s play (when Frankie O’Dell made a runner runner straight to beat his pocket aces) Scotty Nguyen was going to need to make a move and quickly. On the 18th hand he moved his $247,000 stack in from the small blind and Hoyt Corkins made the call from the BB, finding himself in a tough spot with A7 against Scotty’s AK. The flop blanked out putting Scotty even further in front, but a seven on the turn proved decisive. Scotty was out in sixth and exited to rapturous applause.  Read more..
