VC Poker faces possible PartyGaming takeover
Victor Chandler has been one of the biggest names in the UK gambling industry for decades. Established long before the Internet existed Victor Chandler was nevertheless quick to embrace the revolution and now has extremely successful online sports betting, casino and poker operations. So successful in fact that it has caught the eye of the monster that is PartyGaming (owners of PartyPoker.com).

Valued at a substantial $500 million VC is a big company, but even the biggest organisation and mere minnows when placed alongside PartyGaming Plc., which raised $1 billion from its floatation in 2005. Consequently VC would struggle to fight off any takeover bid that might be forthcoming.

Nevertheless at the time of writing it is far from being a done deal. It is rumoured that PartyGaming is just one of three companies expressing an interest in Victor Chandler. What is certain however is that VC is considering the offers. While they are being tight lipped on the situation they have already enlisted the services of Zues Capital to evaluate the possible offers.

Victor Chandler poker is one of the best poker rooms on the Internet with great graphics and gameplay. It is also full of gamblers from VC’s sports betting and casino operations, so lots of easy money.

With 26 events accounted for the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have dwindled slightly down from the record breaking Event #3 the Rio is still buzzing, and a number of events have topped the 1,500 mark since.
