Tribeca bans US players
The Tribeca Tables poker network, home to 99 online poker rooms including Doyle’s Room, Golden Palace Poker and Victor Chandler, has stopped accepting US poker players, it announced yesterday.
As of yesterday (February 15th 2007) Tribeca Tables will not accept any new US players onto its network. On February 28th all existing US customers will also be banned.
Back in November 2006 Tribeca announced that it would stop accepting US players, but did not specify when this would become effective. A few days later it was announced that Tribeca had been taken over by Playtech, the company behind the iPoker network, which counts Titan Poker as its leading poker room.
No date has yet been set for when the iPoker network and the Tribeca Tables network will merge, though yesterday’s announcement regarding US players indicates the merger may be close. iPoker had already banned US players from its network.
