WSOP Millionaires
Players who have won over $1 million at the WSOP.
The WSOP has made millionaires out of 56 poker players over its 36 year history. The last two WSOP’s have had so many entrants that many of the players at the top of the WSOP millionaires list haven’t even won a single event at the WSOP: Steve Dannenman for example, lies in third place on the all-time list having competed in only one WSOP, in which he came third. Indeed all the players who made the 2005 final table are now millionaires.
In light of this the most successful players at the WSOP have to be considered prior to the millennium, when the prizes became so inflated. Johnny Chan is undeniably the WSOP’s most successful player, although he is closely followed by T.J. Cloutier and Phil Hellmuth, all three of whom feature in the top ten despite not having made a main-event final table in the last four years.
Nevertheless, money talks….
